Albuquerque Theatre Guild announces their December 2011 performance calendar.

Thru December 4 | Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 8 and Sundays at 2. No performance November 24.
Vessels: A Modern Retelling of A Streetcar Named Desire - by Kevin R. Elder, directed by Kent Kirkpatrick, musical direction by Casey Mraz. Tricklock Company's latest is a twisted look at Tennessee Williams' 1950's classic, carrying the weight of the original, with a haunting and darkly hysterical take on true love, family obligations, and sexual dynamics. Everything you remember and love about Streetcar is still there; Blanche flees from Belle Reve to impose herself on her sister Stella in New Orleans, Stanley grapples with what it means to be a real man, and Mitch is every bit (and more) the mamma's boy. Elder and Tricklock have created a shocking and perverse world that runs parallel to the classic, exploring the American psyche of the last 60 years and how it has been wrung and stretched, leading to our current understanding of entertainment and storytelling. Info: UNM's Theater X, UNM Performing Arts Center, 928-5658, http://www.tricklock.com Price: $15 General, $12 Seniors, $10 Students.
